WHAT IS A WEBLOG?
A “weblog” is an online(web) journal (log) where you are able to write down ideas and share those ideas with people all around the world.
For our purpose this is not a diary – it is an electronic journal in which you will practice your writing skills.You may at times be set topics and ideas with which to begin writing just like pen and paper journal in a normal class !!
(Refer to the rules of writing below.)
TASK: Create a WEBLOG in which to explore different types of writing and issues that concern you.
THE RULES: Before you start to write here are some rules to follow:
1) Remember that your blog WILL be read by members of the school, community, parents and friends….soooooo….do not write things that will get you into trouble !!!
2) Do not “bag out”, or speak badly of friends, parents, staff etc….
3) Use your time wisely – library/computer room time is for completing the task at hand not web surfing, downloading of music/pictures, or checking private email etc…. (NOTE – those who do not comply with this will be removed from computers to complete the work by hand in a traditional exercise book)
4) All work must be original – do not copy from friends or internet sites – this is PLAGIARISM.
5) All blogs must be typed in English.

Towards the bottom of the page is a form to complete. You will need an email address in order to join. Once you have completed the form, go to your email inbox to recieve your login details and activate your page.
